A closer look at the unique back lock structure. In the front lock design shown here on the left, the lever is closed toward the direction of FPC insertion. In the Panasonic Back Lock design, the lever is closed toward the opposite direction away from the FPC inlet. The lever can be locked easily by hand and does not risk opening back up if upwards tilting the FPC cable occurs. The strength of Panasonic’s back lock construction is also preferable to that of the traditional front lock types which is critical for handheld applications where the product may endure mechanical shocks when dropped.
