Using an RSL15 “coulomb counting” calculator developed by onsemi, users can plot the RSL15 coin cell battery life in years on the Y-axis vs. the advertisement interval on the X-axis, assuming the six conditions listed on this slide. The yellow highlighted blocks in the detailed RSL15 internal block diagram on the right show the blocks that are powered-up during sleep. This includes four 8 kB memory banks where specific parameters are stored during sleep which expedites the wake time, reducing the average total current consumption. So, using the RSL15 for a typical 1.2 second advertisement interval, the customer can expect five years coin cell battery life. The customer can expect ten years RSL15 coin cell battery life just over a 2.5 second advertisement interval. Additionally, the customer can expect fifteen years coin cell battery life advertising just under a 4.5 second advertisement interval.
