The NCN26010 is an IEEE 802.3cg 10BASE-T1S compliant communication device for industrial Ethernet applications using an existing twisted pair wire infrastructure. The NCN26010 contains both the physical layer circuitry as well as the MAC circuitry. The MAC contains an Ethernet serial number unique to the world, which is a fundamental element for Ethernet networking. The NCN26010 supports a data rate of 10 Mbit/s, half-duplex, and a SPI interface for communicating with a companion microcontroller. The NCN26010 also exhibits only 5.5 pF of capacitance at the medium dependent interface (MDI). This is well below the IEE802.3cg specification limit of 15 pF. A lower MDI capacitance improves the signal integrity of the application. Applications include process and factory automation, industrial wired connectivity, contactors, overload protectors, valves, actuators, data center management, robotics, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and collaborative robots (cobots). A differentiating feature of the NCN26010 is the enhanced noise immunity (ENI).
