Low signal relays operate by magnet and hinge spring power. When the input circuit is connected with the relay coil terminals the input circuit is switched on, current runs into the coil and it is magnetized. The magnetized coil generates electromagnetic force, and the armature is pulled toward the core. Then, the armature pushes the movable contact toward the stationary contact by armature movement, and the contact turns on, and current starts running on an output circuit which the contact is connected with.
