Comparatively, the initial contact resistance (CR) of a mechanical relay is lower than the MOSFET relay. However, the CR of the mechanical relay increases with number of operations. The MOSFET relays, however, have a stable ON resistance and ensure well over 500 million operations. Comparing the MOSFET package, S-VSON, with the electromechanical relay G6K, the S-VSON MOSFET relay saves exceptional space.
