The future of the connected world is challenging and exciting. With the Internet of Things, the amount of data that is generated per second and sent through some channel is overwhelming and security and reliability are big concerns. With data obtained from everywhere there is a need for large processing power at the Edge of the network to make decisions based on information received, in a secure way, as soon as possible. Applications might be as simple as what nearby restaurant to recommend based on eating habits up to mission-critical decisions such as an emergency stop from a robotic arm in a manufacturing facility.
