As shown here, the LPC551x/S1x MCU family features an Arm® Cortex®-M33 core running up to 150MHz with TruztZone®-M technology for asset protection and isolation. For memory, it offers up to 256KB Flash and 96KB SRAM. The LPC551x/S1x also integrates multiple timers including five 32-bit timers, SCTimer, multi-rate timer, windowed watchdog timer, RTC, and a micro-timer. It also has a rich interface offering, featuring high-speed and full-speed USB, a high-speed SPI interface, up to eight FlexComms, which can be programmed as SPI, I2C, UART, or I2S depending on the developers’ needs. It also has a programmable logic unit to create small combinational and/or sequential logic networks. The LPC551x/S1x also features CAN-FD for industrial control applications. The mixed signal offering is complemented by a 16-bit ADC module supporting up to 2 MSPS of sampling rate, an analog comparator with five input pins and an integrated temperature sensor connected to the ADC. Leveraging the outstanding security integration from the LPC5500 MCU series, the LPC551x/S1x MCU family features advanced security features including a crypto acceleration co-processor, AES engine, SHA accelerator, SRAM physical unclonable function (or PUF) for key generation, secure debug authentication, PRINCE module for real-time encryption and decryption of the Flash memory. The LPC551x/S1x MCU family provides multiple package options including HLQFP100, VFBGA98 and HTQFP64 with an operating temperature ranging from -40°C to 105°C.
