Isolated lamp circuits give the user more flexibility when designing their product. The lamp can be powered by an external source which can light the lamp at any time. The lamp can also be wired in line with the circuit of the switch; then, when the switch is actuated, the lamp can be illuminated or turned off. This grants the user the option of an external source, providing a signal to use the switch or to use the actuation of the switch to display the status of the product for which it is used.
