The FT812 and FT813 Graphic Engines featured on these TFT modules offer a cost effective solution for providing graphic controllers into a project. These ICs render display graphics on a line by line basis and use object oriented programming which aids in streamlining the design process. Additionally, these robust chips offer audio output and touch control capabilities, all controlled over low bandwidth SPI or I²C interfaces. The FT812 and FT813 provide increased pixel resolution for sharper imagery, increased speed for faster data transfer and image/video loading, and larger memory capacity in order to create advanced, dynamic and sophisticated HMI. The power and advance coding comes from the IC that is on the module. The source sends simple commands via SPI to the display’s EVE2 IC. The display’s IC does all the conversion, processing, and then renders the simple code so that it is displayed on the display itself.
