The MVAC400 is a series of 400W, open frame, medically compliant, AC/DC power supplies in an industry-standard 3"x5" footprint and 1U-compatible height profile. Three base models are available with 12V, 24V, or 50V main output. The 12V models find wide usage in datacom and networking equipment applications, while the 50V models are commonly used in telecom equipment. The 24V models are useful in most industrial equipment, of which medical equipment is a significant part. Two fully regulated and isolated auxiliary outputs are standard on the MVAC400 series: a 5V/10W standby output that is active when the main output is disabled, and a 12V/12W fan output. With efficiencies up to 94%, these new low wattage power supplies afford customers simplified thermal management by evolving less heat than competitive offerings. The universal input voltage range of 90-264VAC and power factor correction allows the MVAC400 series to operate in every country of the world. The power factor correction (PFC) provides necessary compliance with European and other country directives for low distortion of the line voltage.
