Ferrite beads refer to a series element device that passes the required signal or energy to unimpeded, while absorbing and dissipating unwanted energy that is typically considered noise. In the following example, radiated emissions were measured with and without ferrite beads added to the signal lines. Test results show a significant reduction in noise emissions when ferrite beads are added to the design, especially above the 400MHz range when using the BLM18H series.
