The BHX1-5.8-PC and BHX1-5.8-SM holders accept the F5 MicroCan - iButton® from Maxim Integrated Products. Over 175 million iButtons are currently in use for a variety of applications, such as access control, time and attendance systems and data loggers.  GLiDERS™ are a trouble free and low cost method for mounting an iButton onto a PCB.  Part number BHX1-5.8-PC has through hole pins and part number BHX1-5.8-SM has surface mount contacts for reflow soldering. It is important to remember that the GLiDERS trays should be installed after processing by reflow or wave soldering.
