Ethernet applications use differential signaling with bonded pairs to achieve data transmission at a variety of different speeds. The bonded pairs help eliminate electromagnetic interference (EMI) from interfering with the signal. This specification of pairs is defined by the TIA/EIA-568A/B standard. Various forms of signal modulation are used to achieve the Ethernet standards supported by Molex modular jacks. 10 Mbps Ethernet uses Phase Encoding, 100 Mbps uses Multi-Level Transmit, and 1000 Mbps uses Pulse Amplitude Modulation.
