MAX11200 ADC Overview Slide 6

Another challenge is power dissipation, especially for portable sensors or 4 to 20 milliamp loop sensors. A 4 to 20 milliamp loop sensor must power all of the circuitry from less than 4 mA, which typically leaves about 500 microamps or less for the ADC. At 300 microamps maximum supply current, the MAX11200 family is a solution for these sensors.
