Image of Lumissil CS897x Line of 8-bit Microcontrollers - Key Features

Reviewing the key features of Lumissil’s CS897x line of MCUs. The processor is based on a single cycle, 8-bit 8051 architecture. Its speed is up to 32MHz and can be used with an internal or external clock source. They also include 16-bit and 24-bit timers. The MCUs have built in memory up to 2kb of RAM and up to 64kb of error correcting flash. Lumissil’s MCUs are well know for a variety of low power modes such as idle, stop, and sleep. In the lowest power mode of sleep the power draw is as low as 1µA. The MCUs also have analog features such as 12-bit successive approximation analog to digital convertor, 8-bit digital to analog convertors, and 12-bit pulse width modulation output. The MCUs have built in temperature sensors and comparators too. The MCUs also boast a robust capacitive sensing block that is capable of self and mutual sensing, active shield, and up to 27 self calibrating channels. The MCUs also have a rich set of peripherals such as I2C, SPI, GPIOs, LIN Bus UART and a melody generator. Lumissil’s microcontrollers come in multiple package options as small as 4.9mm x 6mm and they are offered in both industrial and automotive grade.
