LEDs consume 10% less energy than neon and 50% less energy than incandescent. LEDs are 10% more durable and shock resistant than neon and 80% more shock resistant and durable than incandescent. LEDs also provide on/off speeds up to 80% faster than neon and 20% faster than incandescent. Finally, LEDs generate up to 30% less heat than neon and 80% less heat than incandescent.
