This slide will briefly review the key parameters for fuse selection that will help narrow down potential fuse options for a specific application. There are five key selection parameters that should be used to help identify potential fuse solutions. These parameters include: voltage rating, amperage rating, interrupt rating, total clearing I2t, and peak arc voltage. These high-level parameters help filter out many of the fuse options that exist in the market. Once a fuse meeting these key parameters is identified, a more detailed application design can begin.
