The Linx encoder and decoder product line can be divided into three classes. The Low Security class uses DIP switches to set the address. This limits the products to a maximum of 1,024 addresses. The DS Series encoder and decoder and the KH2 Series RF modules fall into this category. The Medium Security devices have a large number of possible addresses created with button presses and a learning system. This makes the addresses unique, but they are not encrypted and not secure. The MS Series, MS2 Series, and MT Series encoders and decoders as well as the TT Series RF modules fall into this category. The High Security devices have an encrypted transmission that provides a high level of security to the link. The address creation is more complicated, but only needs to be done once. The HS Series encoder and decoder fall into this category.
