The LTC3335 is Linear’s lowest quiescent current buck-boost regulator to date, plus it integrates a coulomb counter. The LTC3335 can be considered a more highly integrated version than the LTC3129/-1 monolithic synchronous buck-boost or LTC3388/-x monolithic synch buck, due to the addition of the coulomb counter, such as Linear’s LTC294x family. The LTC3129 and LTC3388 have wider voltage ranges and are targeted at other energy-harvesting type applications. The LTC2941 coulomb counter Iq is approximately 70µA, which virtually eliminates the low micropower and nanopower operation, respectively, of the LTC3129 and LTC3388, when combined as a total solution.
