Evaluation of the LTC2947 is made easy with the DC2334 demo board and accompanying Windows GUI, shown on this slide, where users can do things such as choose the clock source; view the value of each measured parameter, its min and max value, and alert status; they can even view the registry contents in its raw form. Users have multiple controls to manipulate, including the option to operate the LTC2947 in continuous mode, where the ADCs continuously and simultaneously measure parameters every 100ms, or single shot mode which triggers a single set of round-robin measurements. When no measurements need to be made, users can park the LTC2947 in either shutdown mode, where total current consumption is reduced to less than 10µA, or in idle mode, where all circuitry stays active and ready to go into continuous, single shot or shutdown mode. If the engineer is interested in the LTC2947, Linear Technology highly recommends that they experiment with this handy and intuitive evaluation system, which is sure to speed up development time.
