Once the radios have been configured and tested to verify they are operating correctly, the radios can then be inserted into an application as a wireless serial bridge. Because the radios are DCE devices (RS-232 version only), a null modem cable or a null modem adapter must often be used between the second radio and the DCE device they are interoperating with. Also, the baud rate setting of each ConnexLink must match the baud rate of its host device. Finally, when operating at the Full Power setting, the radios must be at least 15ft apart to guarantee they do not saturate each other and cause errors.
