Microphone Interfaces Slide 3

Conventional single-ended analog outputs were introduced to the market by Knowles in 2001. The basic premise of this interface is that the voltage output of the microphone gets proportionally larger with increase of the acoustic signal it is detecting. There can be limitations to how large this signal can be due to voltage constraints of the ASIC and the output stage of the microphone.
