The chart on this slide presents the line up of the products that KEMET is offering. At first glance it looks pretty complicated. Breaking it down, the first consideration is that it is showing several different types of families within the relays which are defined by the size and form factor of the relay. Within each series, the details for each part are given for both through-hole and surface mount designs. Similar to KEMET’s capacitors, what is being shown is what size or package the customer requires. The contact and coil information will provide answers to the user’s most important questions. Reading the information for the contact side of the relay, which controls the higher voltage or current, it can be seen that these relays can handle 1 to 2 amps, which is why they are called signal relays. Looking at the coil information, the voltages range from 3 to 24 volts. This is the small signal, or small amount of voltage which controls the relay.
