The default screen after launching MLCSoft® for an R07S series, 1pF capacitor is shown on this slide. The user can select a capacitor size from “Case Size” pull down menu. In addition, the dielectric material, capacitance, voltage, tolerance, termination, marking, and packaging specifications can be selected. MLCSoft will determine the Johanson capacitor part number based on the user’s selections. The software will also display important electrical parameters such as SRF, PRF, ESR, Q, Ceff, Ls, Z, and S-parameter data at the selected working frequency, which can be modified by entering the new frequency directly, by clicking the up/down arrows, or by clicking/dragging the square box moving to the left for a lower frequency or to the right to increase the frequency. The specified capacitor’s SPICE model will be displayed in the series mode by default.
