DCPs

Select a dual DCP, such as the ISL23328 shown here and attach the wipers to the logic lines and the low and high taps to V- and V+ respectively. Move the wipers to the top, center, or bottom tap to select the desired threshold level. The volatile DCP will power up to the center tap at start-up, but can quickly be set in software. If there are safety issues or other concerns regarding powering up to a certain gain, consider a non-volatile DCP. If using the In Amp with split supplies, select a DCP that also works with split supplies. Note the PGIA thresholds are referenced to the V- pin and are therefore shifted by the magnitude of V- when using split supplies. Thus, an externally driven logic signal would need to be level shifted, but the wiper values from a split supply DCP will already be correctly shifted.
