Communication from the host to the microprocessor is done via USB and uses low speed USB standard, it is compatible with any USB 1.1 or 2.0 host, it enumerates as a HID device, and uses the standard Windows mouse driver. The microprocessor reports data to the host at a rate of 50 reports/second. Likewise with the PS/2 module communication from the host to the microprocessor is done via PS/2 and will attach as a standard two button mouse, or as a three button scroll mouse, it is compatible with all versions of Windows, and the microprocessor reports data to the host at a rate of 50 reports/second, regardless of host attempts to change the report rate.
