Product List
The flow chart on this slide leads designers through the process for determining what DC-DC conversion is needed based on the customer’s application and design needs. Starting in the upper left corner, the designer will ask if the customer needs isolation or not. Typically, customers will know if they need isolation in their design. If the customer needs isolation, ask if they need dual 48 V feeds, or only a single 48 V feed; this will determine if they need to use OmniOn Power's PIM400 filter. For single 48 V feeds, next determine if the design requires additional filtering to meet higher EMI standards or FCC Class B. If so, OmniOn Power has filters that will meet the need. If not, move directly to either OmniOn Power’s Power Module Wizard or go to OmniOn Power's website to find the right power products. If isolation is not needed, then the designer can skip to the POL flowchart contained in the upcoming POL training module. The Power Module Wizard is OmniOn Power's online design tool for determining the right DC-DC conversion and completing the power design. This tool can be found on the DigiKey website at the OmniOn Power supplier page under TOOLS.
