In summary, Bridgetek has introduced the NerO, an energy efficient Arduino clone with enhancements, and CleO, a smart TFT display for Arduino. NerO is supplied in three variants; long pin, short pin and no pin. It features a 16MHz ATMEGA328 MCU offering fourteen digital I/O pins and six analog inputs, a micro-USB connector, and a low power FT231XS USB to UART converter. The location of indicator LEDs has been change to ensure they are visible when a shield is plugged in. An On/Off switch is included in NerO, and a 5V switching regulator provides efficient power of up to 1A. The board is suitable for both commercial and hobbyist designs and meets FCC/CE approval. Because the design is based on the original UNO design, common UNO software will run on NerO. CleO is a smart TFT shield for Arduino from Bridgetek which is designed as a shield for NerO, enabling an HMI solution with a full-color 3.5” TFT and resistive touchscreen. It offers animation and video playback at up to 60 fps, screen rotation for landscape or portrait orientated designs, and a file system supporting up to eight simultaneous file operations.
