Product List
This slide highlights the peripherals including the dual analog comparators which allow comparison to an internal reference as well as tie the output to a TPM (Timer/Pulse-width Modulation) input capture trigger. The output to the TPM allows interaction with other modules with minimal system delay. Along with that, this module can be used in single-slope ADC (analog-to-digital converter) and RC time constant measurements. The ADC has 10 channels and a 12-bit resolution along with an internal temperature sensor, an internal band gap reference channel, and has the ability to run in Stop 3 mode. The internal temperature sensor actually allows temperature compensation of the ICS, ensuring high accuracy. Also included are multiple serial ports—SPI, SCI, and on IIC—which allow seamless integration of other external components to the system, such as RF components or other MCUs. There are two TPM modules, each with three channels, for a total of six channels. The separate TPM modules allow for incorporation of two separate time bases into a system. Finally, the ICS, mentioned earlier, allows for the use of an internal clock source, eliminating the need for external components in those highly cost-sensitive applications. The ICS can be precision trimmed, enabling much more precise control over the BUS frequency in response to system environmental changes.
