Output power modules are extremely flexible and can be combined in series and parallel. For Xg1 through Xg5, identical module types may be used in parallel to increase the combined current rating. For instance, 4 module 5s in parallel, each rated 6A, can provide up to 24A at the rated nominal voltage of 48V. Before installing parallel bus bars and to prevent current hogging, current share must be set to ON on each module, and each module must be individually adjusted with no load to within a few millivolts. Two or more PowerPacs may be placed in parallel provided that they share a common on/off main power line. To obtain higher output voltage, identical modules may be wired in series. To obtain high voltage with high current, use a combination of series and parallel modules. For example, to obtain 96V at 12A, one could set two pair of parallel wired module 5s in series.
