The first three letters of the Advanced Energy part numbers, coupled with numbers after the P or dash define the unique PowerPacs. Typical PowerPac part numbers are XCC-03, XCA-00 and XMC-00. The four to six digits following the Model letters define the output modules, which are call powerMods. By way of example, a number 2 is short hand for module part number Xg2, while a 5 is short hand for module Xg5. A zero is a short hand space holder indicating that no module is in the slot. So in the example XLA5480-00, there is a XLA-00 PowerPac along with modules Xg5, Xg4 and Xg8. For prototypes, discrete parts should be ordered rather than a fully assembled power supply. Keep in mind that the Advanced Energy part number does not contain information regarding output voltage settings, dip switch settings, or bus bars. When a full assembly is required, those parameters must be provided to the distributor. Contact DigiKey for further information on estimated shipping times or minimum quantities.
