As mentioned previously, EDAC’s waterproof connectors are tested to the IP “Ingress Protection” rating codes. The series 565, 566, 568, and 570 all test to IP67 standards while the series 567 tests to IP52 standards. When reading an IP rating, the 1st digit represents solid object protection and the 2nd digit represents protection against liquids. For example, a liquid ingress rating of 7 corresponds to the ability to withstand temporary immersion in water between 15cm and 1m deep for a duration of 30 minutes.
