Two types of OTDR are widely available and popular: “Handheld” and “Modular”. The handheld version is portable and more popular with field technicians and easy to use. The module version has the added functionality of interchangeable modules which offer Dispersion Testing, Spectral Testing and several other functions in addition to the OTDR test.
