This schematic shows a surge protection circuit design for a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) application. A TVS diode is used as the voltage limiting device. This solution provides enhanced protection compared to a design that uses only a TVS diode. The next slide will demonstrate the differences in the level of protection.
