In order to meet electrical standards, the included components within the MagJack must provide isolation and EMI Suppression, this is done with Isolation Transformers, and the EMI suppression is done with the Common Mode Chokes. For the unused pairs within certain communication standards the MagJack is terminated with what is known as a Bob Smith Termination, which is composed of 75 ohm resistors and a 1000 pF, 2K(2000)volt capacitor.
