The shape of a cutter’s head provides the strength and support to the tool’s cutting edges. Generally speaking, larger cutting heads are stronger than smaller cutting heads. Cutter heads also align the cutting edges to operate at a certain angle to the plane of the cutter handles, the most common angle is 15°.
