The Offset menu setting is used when adjusting the set temperature. The set temperature can be adapted to the actual measured temperature of the soldering tip by entering an offset temperature of ±72°F (±40°C). This setting is used when adjusting the temperature of the soldering iron to an externally measured temperature setting. Special equipment is required to measure the tip temperature. Contact Weller technical services for details. The soldering irons that are compatible with the WT series stations are microprocessor controlled to a tolerance of ±17ºF.
