Another benefit of iCoupler technology is the ability to integrate many useful functions into one package. Isolated switching regulators are offered as standalone devices, or with auxiliary data channels. For example, the ADuM347x  family has four data channels in a variety of forward and reverse configurations. This allows for reduced cost and PCB area when both power and data are being isolated. Primary-side sensing flyback regulators and optocoupler-based solutions typically cannot offer this level of integration.
