As referenced earlier, the ECU-1xxx series does not include I/O, but has additional RS-232 and RS-485 ports. The ECU-1252 comes with two CAN ports for connecting CAN devices. It is also enabled with EdgeLink software to handle the protocols and connections. The ECU-150 and ECU-1252 are built with NXP I.MX 8 and A9 CPUs that include 2G RAM and 16G storage which can be expanded to 4G RAM and 32G storage. For additional security, the user can add TPM 2.0 as an option. They can also implement the edge software and enjoy more flexibility in programming.
