Driving the Future of Automobiles
ROHM Devices Accelerate Vehicle Innovation
ROHM Semiconductor offers high-performance ICs and power devices essential for the automotive industry's move towards electronification. ROHM's extensive lineup supports a variety of automotive solutions, including infotainment/cluster, body ECU, EV, ADAS, and powertrain.
To provide the superior quality and stable supply demanded by the automotive industry, ROHM utilizes a vertically integrated system - a key advantage - in which all manufacturing stages are carried out completely in-house, from silicon ingot pulling and photomask production to wafer processing, lead frame molding, and packaging.
ROHM has recently announced the addition of 10 new automotive-grade SiC MOSFETs. The SCT3xxxxxHR series allows ROHM to offer the industry's largest lineup of AEC-Q101 qualified SiC MOSFETs that provide the high reliability necessary for automotive onboard chargers and DC/DC converters.
Circuit Protection
ROHM offers a broad lineup of TVS (transient voltage suppressor) diodes ranging from ultra-low capacitance to high capacitance types in a variety of packages to suit virtually any need. Key features include class-leading TLP characteristics to protect against ESD, high surge immunity with low clamp voltage for superior surge resistance, and low VRWM that contributes to greater power savings. ROHM’s RASMID technology is also used to achieve breakthrough miniaturization by delivering unprecedented dimensional precision.
Discrete Semiconductor Products
ROHM’s SiC Schottky barrier diodes feature low total capacitive charge (Qc) that reduces switching loss, enabling high-speed switching operation. AEC-Q101 qualified types are also available for automotive PFC circuits and inverters that provide breakdown voltages from 600V, far exceeding the limits of silicon SBDs.
In addition, high power Zener diodes are offered that deliver significantly higher surge resistance over competitor products, ensuring suitability not only for consumer devices, but automotive and industrial applications as well that demand higher reliability.

Integrated Circuits
ROHM's expansive power management IC portfolio ranges from automotive-grade noise tolerant op-amps featuring superior EMI immunity, CMOS op-amps that deliver class-leading low noise, high voltage buck DC/DC converters utilizing proprietary Nano Pulse Control technology, and high voltage high efficiency buck regulators to high efficiency, high reliability LDOs available in ultra-compact and CMOS variants, H-bridge driver ICs for brush motors, LED drivers, and boost/buck/buck-boost switching regulators with or without integrated FET.
ROHM also offers a wide lineup of general-purpose regulators featuring low power consumption, high current/voltage capability, and superior voltage resistance – ideal for automotive systems and commercial/industrial equipment.
Isolators
Leveraging proprietary microfabrication technology allowed ROHM to develop on-chip transformer processes for compact, isolated gate drivers. Both high and low side gate drive ICs are available and are capable of optimally driving high speed power MOSFETs and IGBTs via bootstrap operation.
Optoelectronics
Automotive exterior lamps are increasingly adopting LEDs to meet the growing needs for low power consumption and longer life. In addition to high brightness single-rank LEDs, ROHM offers a broad lineup of driver ICs designed to drive LEDs, and is actively involved in a number of activities to support the future of automotive lighting, such developing controller ICs for ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) systems that are expected to see widespread use.
Resistors
ROHM, a pioneer in chip resistors, delivers the industry’s highest rated power in the ultra-low-resistance region from 0.1mΩ. Utilizing new materials and structures improves heat dissipation and ensures excellent joint reliability, making them ideal for applications in the automotive, industrial, and consumer sectors.
