Getting Started with SparkFun Red-V RISC-V Boards – Maker.io Tutorial | DigiKey
The SparkFun Red-V boards are built around the SiFive E310 chips that allow you to begin building applications for RISC-V architectures. In this guide, we show you how to set up two different build environments, Freedom Studio and the Zephyr Project, and use them to construct simple blinking LED programs. RISC-V is a completely open source instruction set architecture (ISA) that can be used to implement various microcontrollers and microprocessors. SiFive (https://www.sifive.com/) is a fabless semiconductor company that designs and produces microcontrollers and microprocessors based on the RISC-V ISA. Please note: after making this video, SparkFun has reported that the default speed of the E310 processor is 256 MHz with a potential maximum speed of 320 MHz.
