Würth Elektronik uses their own plant scientists and is in cooperation with universities to help find optimum light recipes for different quality parameters of plants in different applications. Shown here is an example. Würth Elektronik used dynamic lighting on spinach and was able to double the amount of secondary plant metabolites after eight days, as compared to how long it would have taken with natural sunlight. This example is shown in the middle picture and is a great example of vertical farming. In the picture on the right, Würth Elektronik was able to increase the number of flowers on tomato plants in the winter by using 40% less energy as compared to other light sources.
