This slide looks at the frequency response of CH series resistors showing the scattering parameters, or s-parameters, for the CH 02016 case size 50 Ω and 100 Ω values with flip chip terminations, two of the most commonly used values. S-parameter data is commonly used in RF and millimeter-Wave design to characterize components, circuits, and systems, and how well signals travel through them. The curves labeled S21, which represent the loss of signal power from having traveled through a 2-port device (the CH resistor in this case) remain close to zero and relatively flat across frequency, showing very good and consistent broadband performance. The CH series 50 Ω resistors make great circuit terminations, while the 100 Ω value offers great broadband performance for isolating output lines in Wilkinson power dividers in millimeter-Wave applications.
