The precision of the sensor element must be selected to provide the desired accuracy required to suit the application. However, it is important to specify the sensor accuracy explicitly by specifying both the accuracy required and the critical temperature range(s) over which the accuracy is required to avoid “over specifying” that can result in unnecessary additional cost. Littelfuse’s state-of-the-art technology allows the engineer to offer sensors with high precision over extended temperature ranges. Littelfuse offers numerous resistance versus temperature characteristics with accuracies from ± 0.05°C to ± 5.0°C, as well as resistance values ranging from less than 100 Ω to more than 10 MΩ at 25°C. Littelfuse application engineers can assist in the selection of the sensor with the temperature accuracy that the customer requires at the most competitive cost.
