A higher forward current can make a more exact prediction of Hematocrit %, or the percent of blood in a fluid. This graph shows the voltage levels as the sensor detects different Hematocrit percentages; the yellow line is run with the lowest forward current, the blue with the highest. A microprocessor can be used to adjust the input current of the LED to provide the expected current through the Phototransistor. Utilizing this will allow better readings for critical fluid identification similar to Hematocrit % of solutions.
