MagnePot Non-Contacting Rotary Position Sensor Slide 8

When designing for MagnePot sensors, it is important to remember the following application considerations: MagnePots require a regulated 5 V supply and will typically draw 8.5 mA of supply current. The output of a MagnePot sensor is ratiometric to the supply voltage and therefore, changes in the supply voltage will be reflected in the sensors output. Output noise is essentially a non-issue and the output signal will not degrade over life. The output signal of a MagnePot will never reach 0% or 100%. Typical minimum output is 3% (of the supply voltage) and typical maximum output is 96% (of the supply voltage).
