SIMPLE SWITCHER® has a diverse family of power modules with varying voltage levels and packaging options. The modules come in both leaded and leadless options. SIMPLE SWITCHER Nano modules are ideal for space-constrained applications. Nano modules can be used to reduce board area from the intermediate voltage rail to the point-of-load in applications with space and height limitations, while providing enhanced system performance. The SIMPLE SWITCHER LMZ3 power modules integrate a DC/DC converter, inductor, and passive components into a small, thin QFN package. As few as three external components are required for high performance and high density point-of-load design – making layout extremely simple. Added to the LMZ1 and LMZ2 series, the SIMPLE SWITCHER power module portfolio of more than fifty devices, is the industry’s largest. The LMZ1 series of SIMPLE SWITCHER power modules are ideal for applications requiring a standard feature set. All power modules in the LMZ1 series have a precision enable pin and a soft-start pin. The LMZ2 series power modules (LMZ2xxxx) are available in output currents up to 10 A with additional features for powering high current intermediate rails, FPGAs, and noise sensitive applications. They also feature a frequency synchronization pin that controls the switching frequency of the internal circuitry, and a current sharing pin for paralleling multiple power modules together for achieving up to 60 A of output current.
