As previously mentioned, the LM5017 is the first of the 100 V synchronous bucks to be released. The LM5018 and 5019 at 300 mA and 100 mA respectively, will be released in April of 2012. They will be footprint-compatible and pin-compatible with the LM5017, and will be joining TI’s large family of high-voltage, constant on-time regulators and controllers. Most of the family is comprised of non-synchronous devices. Besides the new LM5017, LM5018, and LM5019, the LM5006 is the only other device with synchronous rectification. This device can be used in synchronous mode with an external FET, or non-synchronous mode with an external diode.
