Temboo’s Profiles feature helps programmers save time, effort, and on-board memory by allowing API keys, tokens, and input parameters to be stored and managed off of the board. Because Profiles store various device inputs on the cloud rather than on the LaunchPad, they simplify the code and conserve memory by reducing the number of lines of code that are executed on the board itself; Profiles loosen memory-based restrictions on input string lengths in the same way. Since they are stored off of the board, Profiles can also be reused to program different pieces of hardware using a single set of credentials. Finally, Profiles allow devices to be reprogrammed remotely--updating a Profile in the cloud will change the behavior of the device without requiring the code running on the hardware to be altered, and without even requiring the running of the program to be interrupted.
