Stripline geometry is a proven signal transmission technology used in high speed printed circuit boards and in high speed board to board connectors such as the Z-PACK HM-Zd™ connectors and the Z-PACK TinMan™ connectors. Tyco Electronics has applied this technology to the new QSL series using a simple stamped and formed flat geometry as opposed to circular coaxial construction. The benefits of this design approach, as compared to typical screw machined connectors, include lower cost and easier assembly with proven reliability and performance.
